Here are a number of resources for people who are not able to afford their medications. Proof of income is required for all of these programs.
RENASSIST - This web page is developed by the drug company Sanofi US. It provides assistance to people who have been prescribed medicationproduced by Sanofi US who can not afford them. There is one application for all assistance provided by Sanofi US. All you need to do is fill out the Renassist Patient Assistance App to apply. This application can only be emailed or faxed in.
PATIENT ACCESS NETWORK FOUNDATION - This is a co-payment assistance program only. Patients are only eligible for assistance though this program if they have insurance and are not able to pay the co-pay on their medications. You can only apply for assistance via online application. CHRONIC DISEASE FUND - Each chronic disease has a dedicated pot of money for assistance. You can apply for assistance though the Chronic Disease Fund by enrolling in the Patient & Pros program. You can only enroll in this program by going on line. To apply online please click here.
AMERICAN KIDNEY FUND - Money is available in form of grants for 'treatment-specific financial needs.' For more information about eligibility and what this grant can provide check out the Safety Net Grant Program Info. To apply for this grant fill out the Safety Net Program App.
SLECTCARE BENEFITS NETWORK - This service is not free! Slectcare is a company that finds and applies for prescription drug benefits, on your behalf,provided by the drug manufacture. Of course you must be low income in order to take advantage of this service. When I called them I spoke to Jacob who had a professional demeanor so I would give him a call at 1-888-331-1002 ext. 1814 if you are interested in applying. The idea here is that you pay them and then they save you money on your prescriptions. The service costs about $25.00 per medication filled.
MEDICAL DEBT RELIEF & ASSISTANCE - There are a number of agencies who can help with medical debt. This web page is one stop shopping to apply for a number of different types of assistance offered though these different agencies. To do this go to their web page, create an account, and answer the questions provided. You will then be provided information about different types of assistance you may qualify for.
WPDP Discount Card - Free card for all Washington State residents. To enroll in this program please call 1-800-913-4146 or you can enroll for this program by going to the WPDP online enrollment page. This is a great program that helps pay for a select number of medications.
