INCOMING FUNDS (Nov 21):  You may have seen in the Frederick News Post that Frederick County owes the State of Maryland money from a mistake in the distribution of income taxes. Well, the good news is Maryland owes Rosemont $10,000.  We got a call from the Comptroller’s office saying the money is on the way.

MESSAGE FROM THE BURGESS (06/11/2017)

Hi Folks,

I want to wish everyone a happy and healthy summer.

At the last meeting, the budget for next year was approved.  The only change from last year was to add more speed enforcement hours.  Last year we had 50 4-hour patrols for speed enforcement, next year we will have 75 4-hour patrols.  I have also asked the Sheriff’s Department to enforce the "No Trucks" on Petersville Road.  The State Highway Department did a survey of speed on Petersville Road, and it showed that most of the speeding was taking place between noon and 4 PM.  They are going to add some more patrols during that time period.

Unless some unexpected agenda items come up, the July meeting will be cancelled.

You may have noticed that the water was off for about half an hour last Thursday.  It was something in Brunswick and was back up quickly.

Be safe.   Tom...

  • MESSAGE FROM THE BURGESS (Winter 2016) Hi Folks,I wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy holiday. At the November meeting our auditor presented the audit for last year.  Good news, we had a budget surplus of $18,000 and on top of that, we are getting $10,000 from the State.  Somehow the State miscalculated the amount of income tax we were to receive. We plan to put this money into savings to replace the money we spent on the water lines. You may have noticed that Brunswick Crossing is building on the south side of Rt. 17.  None of these buildings will be in the section of land that is in Rosemont.  The plan calls for a parking lot and open space ...

  • Message from Burgess (Summer 2016) Hi Folks,  We do not have anything on the agenda for this month’s meeting so we will cancel the meeting.  The next meeting will be September 26. I have noticed quite a few houses for sale in Rosemont.  If you have a new neighbor, ask them to check our web site or email me so I can add them to our email list. Now that it is summer and people are working in their yards.  I want to remind you that you can take yard waste to the Brunswick drop off.  However, you will need a card from Rosemont to do that.  The Brunswick workers do not know who lives in Rosemont without the card.  If you need a ...
