Martin "Marty" Edge died at the age of 18 in a car wreck on February 18, 1964. He was a senior at Owensboro Catholic High School at the time and had a bright future ahead of him. The Class of 1964 was very sad at his passing. [See Obituary below]
Joseph Coomes - There is a notice in the Messenger Inquirer dated October 3, 1967 that a Joseph Anthony Coomes died in Vietnam at the age of 21.
Anthony Hershel "Tony" Ward of Owensboro, KY. died November 6, 1971 in an auto accident. Services were held at Saint Martin Catholic Church by Rt. Rev. Msgr. Gilbert Henninger, pastor. Burial was at the Mater Delorosa Cemetery.
Rita Hamilton Boarman was born on November 15, 1945 in Daviess County, Kentucky and died August 22, 2000. She was married to John Boarman and lived in Sorgho, Ky. Both she and her husband graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School. Rita was the mother of four children. She is buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sorgho, KY. [See Obituary below]
Greg Oberst was born on March 6, 1946 and died March 29, 2012. He was a resident of Auburn, Kansas at the time of his passing and was survived by his wife Rosie. The funeral service was April 4, 2012 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, KS. Burial followed at the Holton Cemetery.
Barbara Murray Dillow was born on September 11, 1946 and died April 6, 2002 in Mayfield Heights, OH. She was survived by daughters, Alecia Hayes and Andrea Pritchard, and a sister, Marylin Grace. Another daughter preceded her in death. She is buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN.
Curtis Tichenor Crabtree was born March 13, 1946 and died June 3, 2012. He was the son of Herman Troy and Christine Elizabeth Bivens Crabtree. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Curtis is survived his sons, Bryan (Lori) Crabtree and Troy (Rita) Crabtree both of Owensboro; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren,; and his siblings, Alberta Allgood of Panther, Angela Gentry and Pat Pryor of Owensboro and Jimmy Crabtree of Beaver Dam. Curtis is buried at Resurrection Cemetery in Daviess County, KY.
Gerald David Payne was born on July 20, 1946 and passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2009. He was a resident of Owensboro, Kentucky and was survived by his wife, Becky Thompson Payne, two daughters, Leigh Ann Weisser and Sara Payne, and six grandchildren. His funeral was held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Daviess County, KY.
Carole Elaine Church Reeks Briesath passed away peacefully July 17, 2008 in Lodi, Wisconsin. Carole was born Jan. 6, 1946 in Owensboro KY, daughter of the late Charles Church and Dottie Baird. She was a successful business owner and an avid golfer. Carole was survived by her husband Jerry Briesath; daughters Briana Goodreau of Lino Lakes, MN, Jana Reeks of Eau Claire, WI and Sara Demien of Lodi, WI; step-son Jerry Briesath, Jr. of Waunakee, WI, and step-daughter Gina Cooper of Lake Crystal, MN; mother Dottie (Art) Baird of Owensboro, KY; and several siblings. She was preceded in death by her former husband Randall Reeks [OCHS '63]. Carole is buried at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Sun Prairie, WI.
John Mark Medley. There is a notice about John M. Medley in the Messenger Inquirer newspaper dated January 26, 1984 that mentioned he died at the age of 37 in Owensboro, KY.
Eugene Thomas. There is a notice dated July 4, 1970 in the Messenger Inquirer that a Marion Eugene Thomas died at the age of 23. He was the son of Jesse Joseph Thomas (1901-1975) and Pearl Marie Hancock Thomas (1903-1998). His birthdate was May 31, 1946 and he died on July 2, 1970. He is buried at Saint Augustine Cemetery in Reed, KY.
Barbara Saltsman Mauzy Hinton died October 22, 1998 in Owensboro at the age of 52. She was the daughter of Red and Katherine Sauer Saltsman who owned Reds in Sorgho, KY. She left a son, Tommy, a daughter, April Glass, and a sister, Kathy Blandford. She is buried at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Daviess County, KY.
Thomas Martin Mullican died December 12, 1998 in Owensboro, KY. at the age of 52. He was the son of Joe & Lois Mullican. He was survived by son, Eric Mullican, and daughter, Valerie Holtzman. He had been married to Paula Powell. Both he and Paula had been graduates of Owensboro Catholic High School Class of 1964. Tommy is buried at Saint Peter Cemetery in Stanley, KY.
Lawrence Eugene Hill died July 23, 1993 at the age of 47. He was the son of Rita and Martin M. Hill, Jr. (d. 1989). He was survived by a son, John Andrew Hill;, his mother, and brothers, Barry Allen & T. Michael Hill. His father and brother, James Martin Hill (d. 1956) preceded him in death. Larry was buried at Resurrection Cemetery in Daviess County, KY.
Victoria Jean Fleischman Head died October 14, 1990 at the age of 44. She was survived by her husband, James E. Head, and daughter, Anita Kaye Head. She is buried at Saint Anthony Cemetery in Browns Valley, KY.
Robert Stirman Clark died July 30, 1995 at the age of 49. He was born and died in Daviess County, KY. and was the son of R.A. & Elsie Clark. He was also a Vietnam Veteran. He was survived by his wife, Milly Nall Clark and son, Robbie Clark. Bobby was buried at Resurrection Cemetery in Daviess County, KY.
Sam Allen Mason III- There is a notice in the Messenger Inquirer dated November 22, 1987 that Sam Allen Mason died at the age of 41 in Owensboro, KY. He had been in the Owensboro Catholic High Class of 1964 through his Junior year and graduated in 1965.

Thomas Drury Zoglman [sic] died August 5, 2002 at the age of 56. He was survived by his wife Martha E. Terry Zoglmann [sic], daughters Cheryl Peters, Melissa Hagan, Terri Fitzgerald, and Christy Fulkerson, 5 grandchildren, brothers Joe & Gene Barr Zoglemann [sic], and a sister Anna Faye Montgomery. Judy Pierce Arnold died November 9, 2008 in Owensboro, KY. Her husband, Al, preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 2007. They had been the owners of Arnold's Jewelry Store. Her parents were Buddy and Ellen Pierce of Owensboro. She was survived by two daughters, Candy Oakes of Owensboro and Dr. Cynthia Friedrichs of Beaverton, OR.
Steven Mark Coomes died December 15, 1993 at the age of 43 in Athens, GA. He was the son of Sylvester and Lillian Wathen Coomes of Owensboro, KY. Steve graduated from Brescia College with a Masters in French. He was survived by his mother, brother Paul R. Coomes, and sisters Doris Coomes and Jacqueline Anderson. Steve is buried in Saint Lawrence Cemetery, Daviess County, KY.
John R. Galloway died August 11, 1995 in Louisville, KY. at the age of 51. John was in the Army and served in Vietnam. He was survived by his wife, Mayrene M. His father was Walker Louis Tuttle 1913-1955.

McBrayer, her mother, brothers John Goetz Jr., David Goetz, and Richard Goetz, and sisters Brenda Bean, Sandy Lanham and Kimberly Mills. Thomas Frederick "Fred" Drury was born May 6, 1945 and died September 12, 2004 in Owensboro, Ky. He was the son of Archie Joseph Drury Sr. and Margaret Genevive Stuart. He was survived by a son, Thomas Cain Drury of Owensboro, a daughter, Heather Drury Clemens of Owensboro, and three grandchildren, Mary Keaton and Cecilia and Nicholas Clemens, all of Owensboro. Gerald Montgomery Head was born October 17, 1946 in Sorgho, KY. and died December 26, 2007 in Owensboro, KY. He was the son of George M. and Rose Beyke Head. Gerald served in the Air Force. He was survived by his wife of 40 years, Carol Clouse Head; three children, Gerald M. Head Jr. of Central City, Terrance Clifton Head of Owensboro, and Cassie Head of Sorgho; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was survived by his wife of 37 years, Kazuko Horton, a son, Ronnie Horton of Port St. Lucie, FL, and three daughters, Theresa Kasinger, Lane and Sonya Johnson, all of Owensboro and two brothers, his twin, Donnie Horton and David Lee Horton, all of Owensboro. Joseph "Joe" Westerfield Sr. was born March 26, 1945 and died July 14, 2009 in Owensboro, KY. He was the son of A. D. and Mildred Westerfield. He was a Navy veteran and served during the Vietnam War. Joe was survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Sue 'Susie' Baur Westerfield; Both Joe and Susie were OCHS alumni of the Class of '64. Joe was also survived by sons Joey Westerfield and Mark Westerfield, both of Owensboro, and a daughter, Jennifer Hanks of Louisville. Joe is buried at Mater Delorosa Cemetery in Owensboro, KY.
Connie Sue Millay Powers of Owensboro died July 12, 2008. She was born Nov. 10, 1946 in Daviess County. She was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Baker Powers, in April 1993; and her parents, Eugene Millay and Mary Seaton Millay. Survivors include a daughter, Tonia Porter and husband, Barry of Versailles; a son, Jack Childress Powers of San Jose, Calif; two grandchildren; two sisters, Jody Williams and husband, Rick of Philpot, and Marla Hayden and husband Michael of Owensboro; and five brothers, Jerry Millay of Masonville, Kenny Millay of Owensboro, Larry Millay of Owensboro, Fred Millay of Knottsville and Tony Millay of Owensboro.
Barbara Holder Montgomery of Reynolds Station, Kentucky, died October 10, 2013 at the age of 67. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, J.L. "Jim" Montgomery; and two daughters, Kathy (Daryl) Ball and Cynthia Montgomery; grandchildren Lucia Sao, Samantha Guffey and Tyrell Shack; brothers Richard Holder, Ronald Holder and Tom Holder; and a sister, Marita Bozarth.
