About Me

I have a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from University of St. Thomas. After Bachelors degree I worked in research laboratories doing microbial genetics for several years, then I returned to college to become a teacher. I have taught science to all levels of students from 6th to 11th grade. For the last six years I have been a Region 4 Science Mentor Teacher.

When I am not teaching or grading papers, I enjoy sewing, quilting, scrapbooking, traveling, and running ultra-marathons.
