What We Do

Fundraisers

The Friends of the Library host an annual book sale during Milbridge Days. We are always looking for help with sorting books, maintaining the sale, assistance with transporting the remainders to Goodwill, etc.

Programs & Events

Our greatest gifts to the community are our programs and events. A few that we like to offer each year are: Children's Day, Chewonki's Traveling Natural History presentations, and a Halloween/Day of the Dead event. In previous summers, we have also offered story time hikes and special story times with authors and illustrators.

Library Advocacy

Each of us are avid library users and we want to share our joy of this community space with you all. We all have a special place in our heart for the library and we can tell you all about it!

We could use your help!

Whether it's to offer assistance with setting up for an event or providing a soup for our Souper Friends Fridays, or anything in between, we could use your help! Please see the librarian for more information on how you can make a difference.
