Investigating Criminal Gangs

This course will cover topics designed to better prepare investigators and patrol officers with developing information needed to obtain a successful prosecution of a gang related case. Topics will include, but not be limited to: Types of Criminal Gangs, Qualifying a Criminal Gang using the ORC, Proactive Approach to Intelligence Collection, Evidence Collection & Documentation, Qualifying a Criminal Gang Member, Investigative Case Management, Monitoring Events, Conducting Surveillance Operations, and Prosecution & Testimony.
