Secured $12 mil (avg. 2% over 6 years) additional local funding since 2015 to support the needs of our students and staff.

Secured Sodexo to improve variety and quality of food service for students, added cafeteria monitors and maintained a positive fund balance.

Secured voter approval of $141 million bond referendum to support funding for maintenance projects, instructional technology and buses for transportation.

Secured a new 4-yr contract as of July, 2018 with our superintendent to ensure continued leadership in instructional services for our students and staff.

Approved purchase of a new financial system, a web-based Student Information System and GPS on our school buses and paperless timesheets in near future.

Enhanced school safety and security with new school entrances.

Installed new video security cameras in the schools.

Installed GPS on buses to improve security and achieve more efficient routes.

In cooperation with the Sheriff's office, placed school resource officers in all schools.

Chancellor Elementary School - Blue Ribbon School and Virginia Department of Education Excellence Award.

Massaponax and Spotsylvania High Schools - Blue Ribbon Schools in the Commonwealth for Music Department.

Massaponax High School - All-State Band and Chorus.

Riverbend High School - Virginia Department of Education Distinguished Achievement Award and W!se Blue Star School for 80% passing rate on Financial Literacy Certification Test.

Chancellor High School -Six times State Champions in Field Hockey.

Courtland High - State Runner-up in Girls Soccer.

Spotsylvania County Schools is partnering with 480 Businesses and Organizations and has received 219 grants totaling more than $923,000 since July 1, 2015.
