    THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION

during the school day.

please have their name and teacher's name on it

so that lunches can be distributed more quickly.

Missing school?

Call the school at 623-7421 if your child will be away.

The school needs to have WORKING phone numbers

for all parents/guardians in case of emergencies.

please call with any changes to phone or address.

Student Dress Code:

items that display explicit language, violence, racism, drugs/alcohol or are sexual in nature.

In addition, tops that show the midriff, have spaghetti straps or are strapless along with short shorts/skirts

are not acceptable.

Hats and headgear are not to be worn in school.

Any apparel that is associated with gangs or

gang activity will be banned.

Kelsey School Division Policy JFCA states in part "students will thus be required to maintain personal

attire and grooming standards that promote safety,

health, and acceptable standards of social conduct. Student dress that disrupts the school environment

or school activities will not be tolerated."

Kelsey Community School Drop off and Pick Up

Kelsey Community School asks that all parents and guardians dropping off and picking up children to please use caution. These times are very busy and we do not want to see a child get hurt.

Please ensure you are following the recommendation below.

-Do not stop in the middle of the street to let your child out of the car.

-When pulling over to park, please do not park on the sidewalk on either side of the street on Hogan, Settee or Stewart Street.

-If you are on the opposite side of the street, please escort your child across the street.

-Ensure you are watching for the school bus and not passing busses if their stop sign is out.

-With students entering at different entrances, I realize it is difficult, but we do ask that families use the parent parking lot on Hogan as much as possible.

Thank you so much for expected cooperation in this safety matter.

We are thrilled so many of you have established ways of staying in touch with your child’s teacher (email, remind app, class DOJO etc.), however we do ask that you ALWAYS PHONE THE SCHOOL,  for the following reasons. Often, teachers are not able to check their phones or devices during the school day.

Phone the school if:

-Your child will be away or late from school for the day

-The end of day plans change for your child (someone different is picking them up, your child has permission to walk home, they will not be taking the bus etc.)

-You will be picking your child up from school early for any particular reason

-Your child has an appointment and will need to leave school

-Lastly, if you are calling the school to change the end of day plans for your child, please try to contact the school prior to 3:00.

Thank you everyone,

Mr. Marin
