About Me

Before beginning studies at The University of Iowa, I earned the M.A. degree in Actuarial Science in May 2010 from Ball State University in Muncie, IN, USA. I worked as a graduate assistant in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. As part of my assistantship, I taught an introductory mathematics applications course and also tutored mathematics courses at the Ball State University Learning Center. I also have a B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering with concentration in Signals & Imaging from the McCormick School of Engineering & Applied Science at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, USA.

In my dissertation I used R and OpenCL. I've been learning HTML as a hobby and this site, when it was originally hosted by my university, was one of my first HTML projects. After graduation I migrated that site to Google Sites (classic). This site is the newest iteration by migrating the classic Site to new Site. I would eventually like to learn CSS.

In my free time I follow NBA basketball. My favorite current players are Gerald Green (GL), Lance Stephenson (CBA), Jimmy Butler (MIA), and Terrence Ross (ORL), and I follow the Bulls and Pacers. I'm also a big movie fan - I'll watch (almost) anything with Robert De Niro or Michael Douglas in it.
