About Kikos

The Kiko breed was established from feral stock in New Zealand. These feral goats were found to be parasite resistant and performed well on a forage based diet. They were also found to have a high flesh to bone ratio, as compared to other meat goats. The feral goats were crossed with other breeds to produce the hardy Kiko goats found today.

In the U.S. the Kiko breed and breed standards are maintained by the American Kiko Goat Association.
