Creativity without Chaos
How do you give students the freedom to move, explore, and create without feeling like your class is out of control? Finding the balance between student-led creativity and classroom management can be challenging! This workshop will give ideas for engaging, active learning experiences while still maintaining safety and structure in the classroom. Participants will learn how to break down their exciting, complex lesson ideas into basic components in order to scaffold student success throughout the process. Return to the classroom with tips for management during movement and instrumental activities, creative unit plan ideas, and bag-of-trick activities to pull out on Monday morning.
