CAMP EXPECTATIONS

1.     NO Alcohol is permitted on Girl Scout Property

3.    Driving at Camp – Driving is not permitted in camp.  If you need a ride, please let us know.  We will do everything we can to facilitate your movement around camp.

4.    Three Step Rule – If you see a vehicle driving on the road on which you are walking, take 3 steps away from the road.  When the vehicle has passed, resume your travels.

5.    Sign up on the Kaper Chart in your unit to help keep it clean.  You should sign into the site on the sheet provided in the unit house and sign up for a job.  This will facilitate leaving a place better than we found it.

6.    Recycling – there are recycling containers at each site.  Please help us in this important effort and make sure recyclables make it to the recyclable dumpster.

7.    As always, if you see something amiss, report it.  If you see trash, pick it up.  Help us keep it clean.

FAQ's

How does my gear get to my site if we can't drive?

You can hike it in or we will deliver it.  It’s important to make sure all your gear is labeled with your name and in plastic bags in case of inclement weather.  Make sure you label in water proof ink !  Please pack light – space is limited.

 Will the camp be Bug-Free?

Yes there will probably be bugs.  Remember, bugs are attracted to sweet, sticky stuff like hair spray and perfumes – leave them home.

 What happens if it rains?

Fall School is notorious for all kinds of weather.  You may be hot one day and cold the next.  You might even get wet.  Fall School will take place unless there is a weather emergency.
