Biography

Catherine McClements is an Australian actress born in Melbourne in 1965. She graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (Acting) in Sydney in 1985, alongside Baz Lurhmann, Sonia Todd and Nell Schofield.

She is perhaps best known for her role as Detective Rachel Goldstein in the police drama series Water Rats, for which she won a Logie Award in 1998 and was nominated for two Australian Film Institute awards. She has gone on to appear in other TV series such as Rush and Tangle, the latter of which she has won AFI, Astra awards and been nominated for a Logie award.

Catherine is also an accomplished stage actress, having performed in over 35 plays throughout her career so far, including: Antony and Cleopatra, Three Little Words, The Events, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, The Other Place, Phèdre, The Blind Giant is Dancing, It Just Stopped, Macbeth and Angels in America.

She lives in Melbourne with her partner, actor Jacek Koman, and their two children.
