Blue Mountain Sizzler 5K

Date: Sunday, August 9, 2020, rain or shine

Times: 7:45 AM Number Pick Up

8:20 AM 5K Walkers start

8:30 AM 5K Run

Important: It is a 10 minute walk from number pickup to the start- allow enough time but please do not congregate at the start either.

Sponsor: Blue Mountain Lake Association. Proceeds will benefit the Association’s Project Fund.

Pre-registration: ONLINE REQUIRED IN 2020

  • Online registration will open at 8:00 PM on July 1, 2020 and will stay open either until we reach our allowed cap of 50 people or failing that- 8:00 AM on race day. If the state guidelines change, we will increase our registration cap but there is a good chance the race will sell out.
  • If the race is canceled for any reason your entry fee will be refunded.
  • Registrations will be transferable to another runner if you cannot make it.


Number Pick Up: The field behind the temporarily closed Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts, 3446 State Route 28. Do not linger at number pickup.

Parking: Along State Route 28, downtown Blue Mountain Lake- do not block the road- it is the race course. Please, race official parking only on Durant Road and behind the Art Center.

Course: The clockwise route starts at the hill crest on Durant Road, passes the finish, turns right, proceeds along the lake through the center of town, at the Blue Line Market swings right onto route 30, turns right again on Durant Road, shortly goes left on a dirt road toward Lake Durant, returns to Durant Road via the cemetery and finishes behind the Art Center.

Awards: Awards to 1stmale and female overall, given as they pass through the finish chute.

Please do not linger around the finish chute. Instead, please go home and look for your time and place online at No times nor places will be posted at the race.

Amenities: Professional timing, NO water station, NO post-race snacks, No awards ceremony. A runner's race.
