What is Liberty Day?

Liberty Day is a non-partisan statewide celebration of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution.

When is Liberty Day Celebrated?

The Liberty Day Initiative is celebrated annually on or around March 16th, Liberty Day and the birthday of James Madison, May 1st, Law Day, or Constitution Day, September 17th.

What is the objective:

To enable as any 5th graders as possible, regardless of socioeconomic status, to learn about the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution.
