Moth talk at Newbury next Tuesday 19 May: "Moths in the media":

A talk by MARTIN HARVEY entitled "Moths in the Media: the good, bad and bizarre ways moths are treated in print and online". Martin will show how moths are portrayed in the media, covering everything from blatant misinformation to the latest in scientific research. He will also look at some of the truly excellent resources available on the web to help learn about moths and get involved in recording them. Martin Harvey is county moth recorder for Berkshire and has over the years worked for Butterfly Conservation, BBOWT and Hampshire Wildlife Trust. He is currently works for the Biodiversity Observatory project at the Open University.
