Things are progressing well with getting data imported in time for sending to the National Moth Recording Scheme's new atlas. See below for highlights from the latest sets of records.

Pride of place must go to Norman Hall, whose latest batch of data included 3,775 records from various years, some going back to the 1970s, and including two county firsts: the micro Digitivalva pulicariae and Jersey Tiger. Also:

1st (and 2nd) record on the database:

Capperia britanniodactyla

2nd record on the database:

Amphisbatis incongruella

Depressaria sordidatella

Anarsia spartiella

Trachycera marmorea

Eucosma fulvana

3rd record on the database:

Agonopterix yeatiana

Isophrictis striatella

Pexicopia malvella

Acompsia cinerella

Epinotia rubiginosana

Cochylis molliculana

Small Black Arches

4th record on the database:

Apodia bifractella

Recurvaria nanella

Pammene splendidulana

(+ 5th) Cypress Pug

(+ 5th, 6th, 7th) Gelechia senticetella

5th record on the database:

Sophronia semicostella

Webb's Wainscot

Other highlights:

Rannoch Looper (6th database record), Ni Moth (6th and 7th), Yellow Belle (7th), Small Chocolate-tip (8th and 9th), Balsam Carpet (9th), Silky Wainscot (11th), Juniper Pug (12th), Wormwood (15th), Red-necked Footman (16th-17th), Horse Chestnut (20th), Neglected Rustic (20th), Small Ranunculus (27th-29th), Hoary Footman (28th).

Derek Brown's records included the 5th database record for Cypress Carpet, and the furthest west (the others have been in Maidenhead and Wokingham). Also Oak Lutestring and some other nice species such as Alder Moth, Lilac Beauty, Blotched Emerald and Sharp-angled Carpet.

Bernard Clark contributed the 4th database record for Cypress Carpet, 14th for Archips crataegana, 17th for Coleophora hemerobiella, 17th for Indian Meal Moth (a very under-recorded species!), 22nd-24th for Pale November Moth and 25th-26th for Small Ranunculus; good to see records for Striped Lychnis, Heart Moth and Hornet Moth as well.

The latest from David White included the second database record of Acompsia cinerella and of Goat Moth, 7th of Crambus hamella, 9th and 10th of Silky Wainscot and 17th of Northern Winter Moth.

Les Finch's records contained the third database records for Oncocera semirubella, Cypress Pug and Kent Black Arches, plus 1st, 2nd, and 3rd records of Toadflax Brocade.

And just over the river in VC23, highlights from Susan Nicholls were Mullein Wave and Blue-bordered Carpet, while John Notton recorded Eudemis porphyrana, Diasemiopsis ramburialis, Orange-tailed Clearwing, Sophronia semicostella, Merrifieldia leucodactyla, Yellow-legged Clearwing and Swammerdamia caesiella, with Juniper Carpet, Royal Mantle and Netted Pug as good records too.
