Bear Valley Limited Road Service Area

This is the informational site for the Bear Valley Limited Road Service Area (BVLRSA) in Anchorage, Alaska.  We will try to explain what the LRSA is, what it can and cannot do, and how the funding is handled.  

On 7 April 2026, the residents of our LRSA have voted to increase our mill rate from 1.5 mill rate (unchanged since 1989) to 2.25 mill. 

This site is free and costs the LRSA nothing....not one penny!  Your road board volunteers the time for site maintenance as well as the work that they do on the road board.

Fun Fact! 

Normal "plowouts" in the Municipality require 72 hours.  Our plowouts are accomplished much more quickly!
