Auckland Bot Soc Health and Safety Guide

The Bot Soc committee prioritises health and safety in planning our trips, considering access and seasonal factors. We expect trip leaders to choose safe destinations, note hazards, and outline track conditions in trip advertisements. We want members to know they participate in trips at their own risk, should assess their abilities, and be aware trips cater for varied fitness levels. Members must pay attention to trip hazards identified in the news sheet, discuss concerns with leaders and bring necessary gear and medications. The guide details things such as when you leave a trip early, where we need you to notify the leader, especially on rural trips where we don’t want to leave anyone behind. Please read this guide and let a committee member know if you have any concerns or suggestions for amendments.
