Together with an interdisciplinary team of Economists and Geographers from the University of Bristol and University of Economics Ho-Chi-Minh-City, we conduct an agricultural flood risk household survey in Dak Lak province.

Spain (2018)

Together with Dean Yang, I conducted a pilot survey among 400 Filipino migrants in Barcelona city, with focus on their migration history, employment status, remittances and social networks. The survey also included an experimental component related to information exchange regarding migrant specific topics.

Angola (2014-15)

Following selected migrants from households interviewed during the field work in Vietnam, I went to Angola to conduct a migrant individual tracking survey among Vietnamese workers in Angola. Read more about the background and preliminary findings here.

Vietnam (2012-13)

Together with a team of up to 50 staff members, I organized and implemented a follow-up of the Development on the Move migration household survey in Vietnam. We visited 1.350 households in 6 Vietnamese provinces across the whole country and collected detailed information about migrant individuals and their families left behind. The resulting panel is the first comprehensive data set of such kind for Vietnam and is used in my my article "Easy come, easy go: Economic Shocks, Labor Migration and the Family Left Behind".
