The BEST thing you can do to grow as a reader is TO READ!!  Read things you are interested in reading, stop and think about what you are reading, laugh at the funny parts, wonder at the mystery, THINK!

I have a link on this page to some digital books available through our library.  This is a great way to get into a book online.

You should also always have a book you are reading, especially a chapter book.  If you ever need a book, see Mrs. Fowler and she will get you some choices!

It's also good to practice your spelling and decoding skills.  My current students will be part of my boom card class.  I will always have some cards in there with phonics practice.
