clever

Purpose: Portal that brings all digital tools and textbooks into a secure portal for access by teachers and students.

ENHANCED TEACHER PORTAL

Clever is updating the look and feel of the teacher portal, starting in March 2024 teachers will have the option to toggle on the Enhanced Portal.  Over the summer, Clever will enable the new look for everyone.

The functionality of the portal is not changing. The update is meant to streamline the way you already use the portal.  A comparison of the classic and enhanced portals is shown below.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Access to Clever and to specific resources is based on a student's or teacher's schedule in SchoolMAX.

Once a teacher is assigned as a primary or additional educator to a section that has at least one student assigned to it, they will sync from SchoolMAX to Clever overnight.  Similarly, students will sync to Clever, overnight, after being scheduled in SchoolMAX.

If a resource is associated with courses on the teacher or student's schedule, it should be available in Clever.

REQUEST ADDING PURCHASED APPS to CLEVER

For student safety and privacy, if an application requires a username and password it should be set up for access via Clever.   If your school or office has purchased a web-based application that you have confirmed works with Clever, you can submit a request to the Clever team to share the app with your target audience.

** If a product is new to PGCPS, it will also have to be evaluated for privacy and security and content (where applicable) before any data is shared. **  (This should be done before purchasing a new application.)

STEP 1 - Submission Checklist

Before completing the request form, you will need:

STEP 2 - Request Forms

(e.g., Imagine Learning has Imagine Math, Imagine Math Facts, Imagine Reading, and Imagine Language and Literacy. Each requires a separate form)

SCHEDULING WITH CLVR FLAGS

CLVR Course Flags are used to create rosters that assign specific students (instead of an entire class or grade) to an app. These should only be used in very specific cases (e.g, FirstInMath/Renzulli Learning for TAG or i-Ready and Lexia for Special Education).

When a school purchases licenses for a specific set of students, IT will provide the school with the CLVR course ID and section range to use.  Do not schedule students until you have been contacted.
