Moodle Mondays Flyer.pdfThe Marzano High Reliability Schools framework does not add a new initiative to school efforts. Many schools are already implementing a wide range of effective initiatives, and many educators are already practicing research-based strategies. The HRS framework does not replace professional learning communities, the Art and Science of Teaching framework, teacher evaluation and development, sound curriculum, vocabulary instruction, instruction in critical thinking and reasoning skills, formative assessment, standards-based grading and reporting systems, or student mastery systems.
Instead, this framework shows how best practices work together and provides indicators to empower districts and schools to measure their progress on attaining five increasing levels of reliability.
Using the framework and indicators, districts and schools can drive permanent, positive, and significant impacts on student achievement by synthesizing multiple complex initiatives into one harmonious system.
Region 9 ESC, in partnership with The Priddy Foundation, supports campuses/districts in the foundational levels of HRS-1, 2 and 3.

The Moodle Platform
Moodle is a portal that allows schools to demonstrate the Leading Indicators are in place for HRS Certification.
Your R9 HRS Representative will guide your leadership team through this process.
The process includes:
Assignment of a “reviewer” to each school. The role of the reviewer is to provide feedback about the submissions and guide the school through the process.
Once the reviewer has approved all the submissions, the data will be reviewed by a certification team for final determination of certification.
The submissions allow the certification team to understand how the school meets each Leading Indicator.
As the certification team will only understand the HRS processes through the Moodle submissions, consider the following recommendations:
Be clear and thorough
Provide the submissions in a logical order
Tell your story through the submissions - anyone should be able to understand your processes and data.
