Book Orders

ORDER ONLINE!! We have set up a way to order books through Scholastic online to make it easier for parents.  You will simply need to select your books on the website, set up a way to pay, and the books will be shipped to school!!

I will place book orders monthly. Book orders are typically due during the last week of the month; you can check exact due dates online.

Disclaimer:

As you order books from Scholastic Book Company, it is important to note that these books have not been read or recommended by the classroom teachers.  This company has published many excellent pieces of literature, but parents have also brought to our attention some books that may not be appropriate for various age levels or because of family values.

Therefore, we encourage you to select books for purchase based on your decisions.  Scholastic has used symbols indicating their recommendation for appropriate ages or grade levels.  However, these are company decisions and may not coincide with decisions you are making in your family or with your child’s current reading and/or maturity level.

We continue to send home the book order knowing that this company does offer cost effective pricing which is a service to your family.  However, should you choose to make use of this service, you should make your selections with the understanding that the school staff has not reviewed or approved every book.

We commend all parents for the time they spend reading the books that their children are presently reading.  As a result, parents have the opportunity to discuss their values with their children in relationship to the experiences or information encountered throughout the text.  This is an awesome responsibility, but the effect on children’s lives is priceless.
