Restrictions of electronic devices on selected flights

The Department of Homeland Security has put into place limits on electronic devices for US bound flights from ten airports in eight countries. Passengers flying from the airports on airlines indicated below will not be allowed to carry devices larger than a cellphone in the main cabin. Items such as tablets, portable DVD players, laptops and cameras must instead be placed in checked baggage.
Airlines effected by the restrictions as follows:
Royal Jordanian
Egypt Air
Turkish Airlines
Saudi Arabian Airlines
Kuwait Airways
Royal Air Maroc
Qatar Airways
Emirates
Etihad Airways
Countries affected by the restrictions as follows:
Cairo, Egypt
Amman, Jordan
Kuwait City, Kuwait
Casablanca, Morocco
Doha, Qatar
Riyadah & Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Istanbul, Turkey (Ataturk Airport)
Abu Dhabi and Dubai,
United Arab Emirates, United Arab Emirates
Effected airlines have received notification today, March 21st and have 96 hours to fully comply. Information has not been provided as to the length of time in which restrictions will be in effect. If you are due to fly with any of these airlines from those countries into the US, we recommend checking guidance prior to departure.
It is also reported that similar restrictions will be made by the UK government.
