SONOMA State women's club volleyball

CLUB INFORMATION

Collegiate club volleyball is a great way to continue your volleyball career, while making new friends and getting involved on campus!

Our program is run by a few student officers, who are responsible for all administrative duties. This includes scheduling matches and tournaments, hiring coaches, managing the budget, fundraising, and coordinating travel.

In order for us participate in our league (NCCVL), tournaments, and Nationals (NCVF), all players pay club dues. These cover league and tournament fees, jerseys, coaching payments, hotels, and other costs. We also do a good amount of fundraising to help cover costs and keep club dues low.

OUR SEASON

Our club season officially takes place in the spring semester, but we usually hold tryouts early in October. During our season we typically practice twice a week and have matches and tournaments on the weekends. We have some home matches, and we also travel to other colleges in our league, such as UC Davis, Chico State, Sacramento State, and UN Reno.

At the end of our season, we will travel to our biggest tournament and compete against schools from all over the country at the 2018 National Collegiate Club Volleyball Tournament in St. Louis, MO! We have finished within the top 5 for the past 3 seasons. That being said, we are very competitive and our goal is to bring home a National Championship!
