Meet The teachers

"The greatness of a person is not in how much wealth they acquire, but in there integrity and ability to affect those around them positively"

About Me:

Hello, I currently teach Physical Education at Phillips Ave Elementary School. It has given me the opportunity to give back to the community that has helped cultivate me into the man I am today. It has put me in a position to be a role model and positive influence to young students. I also coach football and wrestling.

I received my Bachelor's Degree at SUNY Cortland and I am currently working on my Mater's degree in Physical Education Leadership also at SUNY Cortland. I have a passion for education and working with the youth. I plan on using the platform given to me to educate the youth about the importance of healthy living and physical activity.

Coach Hinckson

Hi, I am a graduate of Amityville High School, Dowling College, and Grand Canyon University. In 1997, I accepted a scholarship to play college basketball at Delaware State University. However, in 1999 I made the decision to return to Long Island and attend Dowling College, where I received many accolades as a college basketball player, but most importantly, I received my bachelor’s degree in Business Management. After playing college basketball I decided to play semi-pro basketball, with the Grand Rapid Blizzards (NWBL). After my short playing career, I decided to pursue education. In 2011, I graduated with my Master’s degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University and became certified to teach Physical Education in South Florida. In 2020, I moved back to Long Island and became a Blue Wave. I am also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.
