About Pearson's U - Drive Right

Hello! My name is Mr. Pearson and I have several years of experience teaching driver education in the Tri- State area. I am looking forward to meeting my students and having the opportunity to work with you! It’s going to be a busy year, so we will all need to work together to fit driver education into our schedules.

I ask you first, do you know who is instructing your student? Please ask about their experiences in driver education. You will find many instructors in the Tri-State area have NEVER instructed driver education within the classroom of a public school as their full-time job. Many just take it upon themselves to get state certified, and not necessarily expose themselves to the development of curriculum or instruction of behind the wheel process. I ask you, would you take your own car to a mechanic that has very little experience in dealing with your automotive problem? or how about a medical doctor...would you want an unexperienced person teaching your child the way to drive? I expect you would say "No way!" I hear that a lot during my lifetime of teaching driver education.

My background is that of an experienced driver education teacher as my full-time job. I have continued the educational development of instruction in driver education and that is why I opened my own driver education school in order to maintain the integrity. Students will be instructed by an experienced and state certified driver education instructor in the Tri-State area. Flexible scheduling is offered and includes instruction in classroom setting and behind the wheel.

1. Driver education classroom and driving schedule will be announced.

2. The schedule is based on the assumption that the class will have approximately 15 students. If the enrollment number should change, the schedule will be revised.

3. For driving, the students will be split into groups of 2-3 students each and will be designated as drive groups.

4. I will do my best to accommodate by putting those students in the same driving group, but there are no guarantees.

5. Students need to arrange their school schedules to accommodate driver education due that our driving will be done during before and after school, weekends and holidays. Time is very limited, as we both have other obligations to fulfill this year, and making up missed classes or drives will be extremely difficult. You may fail if you miss assigned classes or drives.
