The Moon Township Library Friends' purpose as an organization is to promote the cultural, educational, technological and historical development of the community by supporting quality library services for Moon Township. The Friends are a group dedicated to helping create lifelong readers and library users through strong partnerships with the Moon Township Public Library staff, Board of Trustees, and the Moon Township community.
Through community involvement in fundraising, volunteerism and advocacy, we enhance the Moon Township Public Library to fulfill its literary, educational, technological and cultural purposes.
We provide funds for the extra needs of the Moon Library - purchasing shelving, furniture, funds for Battle of the Books, Summer Reading Club, Christmas Cozy kits, books for each MASD Kindergartener as they sign up for school and we participate in Moon School District's Homecoming. We sponsor various fundraisers throughout the year in order to achieve this goal and have a great deal of fun being a FRIEND.
The Moon Township Library Friends is a 501(c)3 charitable volunteer group dedicated to enhancing the Moon Township Public Library (MTPL) through advocacy, fundraising, and volunteerism. The Library Friends serves a critical need as library utilization has significantly increased in our community. In 2024, MTPL provided over 700 programs to 63,000+ community participants of all ages!
You can support the Moon Township Library Friends through a generous annual sponsorship of our community events. As a sponsor, your contribution will be highlighted on donor posters events, on our website, and prominently displayed at the MTPL. There are multiple sponsorship and participation opportunities available. Only through business partnerships such as yours, can we be successful in our efforts to raise funds for these critical programs! Thank you!
