Fracking
Fracking, or hydraulic fracturing, is the process of forcefully injecting chemicals into underground rock to release oil and gas. A mixture of freshwater and harsh chemicals, commonly referred to as fracking fluid, is pumped underground through a well. The sheer force and toxicity of the fluid fractures or dissolves the rock, allowing trapped fuel to escape.
