In 4th Grade you can anticipate a year of tremendous growth spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. I look forward to making your 4th Grade year at St. Mary – St. Joseph School a truly memorable experience.

Religion: Focus is on the Ten Commandments, the Beatitides, planning and participation of monthly school Masses and school wide Prayer Services
Kindergarten Buddy Program: 4th Graders work very closely with the Kindergarten Class on special projects, reading, and writing activities
Math: More complex multiplication and division, Geometry, Fractions, Thinking Thursday Logic problems
Social Studies: Connecticut history, Economics, Government, United States Geography
Science: Health, Biology, Botany, Zoology
Language Arts: Writing, Cursive, Grammar, Spelling, Reading and Comprehension
Long Range Projects: Book Reports, Oral Presentations, Living Wax Museum, State Fair, Box Tops for Education
Weekly Specials: Art, Library, Technology, Physical Education, Music
