Living On A Budget

Living On A Budget

This month I am discussing the savings that can be realized by becoming a patron at your local library. Actually, Wilkes County has three libraries for the public to borrow materials, work in a computer lab, attend special programs, and essentially, save money not spent on purchasing or leasing materials.

Please click the link At The Library to find the hours and contact information for these 3 libraries. If one were to calculate the cost of purchasing Internet time, a computer, books, magazines, tapes, CD's, and DVD's, then a substantial amount of savings in our personal budgets can be realized. Even if one were to rent or lease say a computer (either desktop or laptop) that would subtract from the dollars that we have to spend each week.

The libraries offer the assistance of knowledgeable librarians in literature and reference materials for personal research, work projects, and school projects.

There is no charge to apply for a library card at either the Wilkes County Public Library in North Wilkesboro, or the Traphill Branch located in Traphill.

Why not visit the nearest library soon to find out all that is available to borrow, read, listen to, and attend and thus save money.

The local library is yet another resource and way for us to stretch our dollars while living on a budget.
