WHAT IS SCOTTISH COUNTRY

DANCING (SCD):

Scottish Country Dancing (Set Dancing) is a dance

form with roots stretching back hundreds of years

Participants are grouped into sets, usually of 3, 4

or 5 couples arranged in two lines (men facing

ladies) or in a square, and dance a sequence

of formations using traveling and setting steps.

Everyone dances at each position in

turn as they progress through the set.

SCD was developed so Scots could

have FUN!!..........

And today it’s

even more fun for everyone (not

only the Scots)

We welcome all enquiries, including beginners – come along

and see just how much fun it is.
