The year 2017 has seen a sudden increase in the cement price for almost all the brands. Such an increase has misbalanced budgets for all the big to small builders. High prices and a shortage of cement in the market has made it very difficult to complete the construction project on time. Adding to this, other factors like increase in transportation cost has also impacted the construction industry.
Recently Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu also held a meeting with cement company owners to review and discuss the increase in prices. Such increase is not only impacting the private companies but also state-owned companies who are working on big infrastructure projects. As per sources, meeting discussion was on to contain and stable the cement prices and to reduce the high difference in prices from place to place.

In a developing country like India where infrastructure still is a challenge, the need of the hour is to help and control the supply and prices of construction materials like steel, cement, and others. Cement companies should also work together to bring down prices to a stable state using better analytics of future demand and production capacity.
