Captain Erika and I first noticed "AERO" the turkey vulture survivor of the Ocklawaha River Valley at Eureka, Florida back in January of 2010. AERO was the victim of a "bow and arra" [bow and arrow] attack by some unknown outdoor outlaw "perp" in this area. We were amazed that he/she was still alive and could fly with a target arrow protruding out of his/her back and breast. We have not observed AERO soaring above the Ocklawaha since October 2012. We assume the worst. R.I.P. AERO!. You were, without any doubt, ONE TOUGH BUZZARD!
