The benefits

"I went to have my neck and back pain massaged and came away with so much more. Calm, relaxed and re-energised."

For you:

There are many reasons why people look for a massage and I hope that I can cater for most of them. It will be your massage, so please let me know your preferences and how you would like to feel afterwards. Whether you are looking for pain relief, stress relief, relaxation or just plain pampering, massage has something to offer. There is a wealth of information in other places so I'll concentrate on what I can offer in addition to those usual, physical benefits.

If caring physical contact is missing from your life, some of your senses may be partially shut down. If you feel safe in the hands of your therapist a really good massage will help to awaken you, perhaps bringing back colour and vitality that you might not have realised were missing.

If there are some emotional issues in your life, or your past, this experience might begin to release some of them. This has surprised many people who imagined the benefits would only be physical.

In calm surroundings with an understanding therapist, many people feel comfortable to talk about their problems. I am no psychiatrist but I can listen and I find that this is an important aspect of the massage therapy for many of those who come.

Release is a common theme in all of these benefits - release of muscle tension, sensory and emotional blockages, and stress. These things tend to build on each other, perhaps slowly over a long period. You may not know that one or more of them affect you, and the massage might bring a surprise or two, but it will always be a good one if you are open to the healing.

For me:

It should be clear from my prices that I don't do this for the money. I love to give in any way that I can, and my hands and sensitivity are a gift that cost me nothing to give.

I find giving a massage to be very therapeutic as I relax in tune with my client. It is a wonderful sensation to feel someone relax and unwind, especially when they leave me with noticeable differences in their mood, flexibility and posture. I find that there's no more effective path to feeling good than by helping others.

The greatest reward is seeing someone wide-eyed and amazed after the massage, speechless but thrilled with the experience and the feeling of freedom from pain, be it physical, emotional or both. I can't guarantee that every time, or that it will last, but I can guarantee to do my best for you, for your benefit and mine.
