Royalty Contest

Prince and Princess Contest

    Open  to all Cameron County boys (ages 5-12) and girls ages 5 through 10 (Must be 5 on or before the official opening of the Cameron County Fair and no older than 10 by that same time).

    To enter the contest, a parent or guardian should either print an application or call Jami Kempher at 486-1412 for an application.   Applications must be returned to Jami by July 29.

    Contestants will meet with out-of-town judges the week before the Fair.  Judging will be on appearance (party dress clothes for girls, dress shirt and pants for boys), response to judges' questions, vocal quality; poise and overall impression.

     Winners will be announced Friday, August 9 beginning at 7:30 on the stage. Winners will receive $25, a crown and a sash.

Junior Miss Cameron County

    Contest is open to girls ages 11 through 15 who are residents of Cameron County (Must be 11 on or before August 6 and no older than 15 by August 6). Applications are available  online or by contacting Jami Kempher at 486-1412. Deadline for submitting applications is July 29. 

    Applicants will be judged on poise, appearance, vocal quality, response to judges' questions and on overall impression. 

     Applicants will be asked to submit a short essay (one paragraph) on "Why I would like to be Junior Miss Cameron County". Judging will be done  the week before the fair by out-of-town judges. Dates to be announced.   

    The crowning ceremony will be held Friday August 9 beginning at 7:30 on the stage.  Junior Miss Cameron County will receive $50, crown, sash and flowers.

Junior King//King

Contest is open to boys ages 11 through 15  (Jr. King) and ages 16-20 (King) who are residents of Cameron County. Applications are available  online or by contacting Jami Kempher at 486-1412. Deadline for submitting applications is July 29

**Please note** there must be at least 2 contestants in order to have each contest, boys 12 and under can run for prince, however if 2 more in that age group register, they will compete for Jr. King.

Senior King & Queen

Nominate your favorite grandparent over the age of 55. Nominating is easy! Just fill out an application and submit it with a short bio and picture if possible, if not we'll take care of that!
