This review sheet had everything we had learned in the first semester of the class. The beginning of the review and class started with the Enlightenment Period. I enjoyed learning about this period because of its great impact on the founding of the United States. Many of these ideas from the period were used in the creation of the country. I found this comparison very eye opening because we had never discussed where some of the ideas had come from in previous classes. Another aspect of this review that I enjoyed was the French revolution. When taking this class, I was in French II so I had begun to learn a little more about the country’s revolution in that class. This World History class and review really brought those classes and ideas together. I was able to understand the revolution from a historical perspective and a cultural perspective.

I also found the Industrial revolution and Imperialism units to be very interesting. I greatly enjoyed how my teacher connected each unit to the others. I was able to see the connections from the Imperialism unit to today’s world and politics. Though there are major differences in certain aspects, I enjoyed making comparisons between today’s world and during the rise of Imperialism. Overall, I found that this class greatly expanded my knowledge of the world, especially how the United States was connected.
