Richard DeMuzio

Richard DeMuzio is a 1976 graduate of BFUHS, where he played football, basketball and baseball for all four years. Richard is well known for being the owner of the Dari Joy and the 9 and Dine. He started working at the Dari Joy in 1966. Richard has 3 children and 6 grandchildren. He is a lifetime Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins fan while being an avid golfer.

Richard has given back to the youth of the Terrier community by coaching for many years. He coached in the Bellows Falls Junior League for 19 years for the Rotary while also serving as the President of the league for 5 years. During his coaching years in the BFJL, he won the league championship 3 times, and he also helped coach the league’s All-Star teams numerous times including winning the tough Bellows Falls All Star Tournament twice and coaching in the 1994 Little League District championship. He also was a board of director for the Connecticut Valley Pee Wee Football League for 4 years. Richard was highly involved in coaching basketball in the Bellows Falls area at multiple levels. He coached CYO basketball for 3 years and at the Bellows Falls Middle School for 12 years. Then moving to BFUHS, he coached at the freshman level for a year, JV for 3 years, then coached the Terriers Varsity for 4 years while making the playoffs for all 4 years.

His accomplishments do not stop in coaching our youth of Bellows Falls. He served as the President for the Alumni Association in 1991. Also, as a business owner, he is a proud financial supporter of numerous community events and groups. He is very proud to be a financial supporter to the following, Bellows Falls Junior League, Connecticut Valle Pee Wee Football League, BFUHS Track New England Meet qualifiers, Bellows Fall Alumni Association, plus many others. He never says no. Richard is a true Terrier and more than willing to support the Terrier Family in any way he can.
