Thanks to a $2500 Health and Wellness Grant from Chilton Medical Center’s Community Health Advisory Committee, Wayne Hills High School now has an electronics-free wellness room (dubbed the "Zen Den") in the Wayne HIll's Media Center. Media Specialist Kristen Caldwell wrote and presented the grant application.

We have games such as Uno, Checkers, Chess, Scrabble, and puzzles available, as well as magazines to read, art supplies for doodling, and get-t-know-you card games to spur conversation. Stop by during lunch or your study hall (or teachers, bring your classes down for a quiet, zen space to read).

Backpacks, chrome books, phones, and other electronic devices can be left at the Media Center Desk when you sign in to use the Zen Den.
