For nearly three decades, I have worked as a classroom teacher, master teacher, and tutor with students at all levels, from all backgrounds. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. As a lifelong learner, I have attended countless professional development courses well beyond my degrees that have helped to shape my approach and instruction over the years. 

I have a passion for learning and strive to instill a love for learning in my students as well. I fiercely support the power of a positive attitude, personal best effort, taking responsibility for self, and learning from your mistakes. 

I abide by three main tenets when teaching: relationship, relevance, and rigor.  My belief in holding students to high expectations and accountability as learners and productive citizens, while making time for fun, has never wavered.
