2hr BTO Short Walk Terms

We have started BTO Short Walks, which is a 2 hour max walk to some of the locations we monitor, some of these walks are in private estates, MOD sites and private gardens even farmland where there are no access to the general public, we thought it would be a nice idea to take you on these as always very productive while monitoring. We are only able to take 5 people with a guide so important to book asap. These walks are a first and well worth joining to see parts normally strictly private. These will me marked as "Private" all our private walks will be pre-arranged so full access will be accessible. So keep your eyes out on our Home and 🟡Guided Walks pages for these walks as they may be suddenly added with only days notice. We have to add a price on these walks as some are sites we have added nest boxes and feel an upkeep on these boxes are only fair

Many of these walks will be visited numerous times throughout the year.

No cameras will be aloud on some of our "Private" walks but these will be marked with ❌

(please book asap as we need to allow access for numbers on our walks in advance)

Click the w3w link for the meeting point.

Sending sensitive sightings

From today we will be extra careful on what sightings we will be posting more info from BTO HERE

Please send as normal and we will tweak the sighting with less or no exact locations.

Hope you all understand, please keep the sightings coming, all your sightings will still be added to our Cloud.

Our new Twitter hashtags

Today we are going to start using hashtags when sending any sightings.

Please send a sighting to us like this:

@SLArchive Date / Time / Species / Location / what3words pin / Description ( direction of flight if applicable ) then add the corresponding hashtag:

#slalincs - #slanotts - #slaleics

example: 17/03/21 - 0915 - Stonechat - Marston Sewage Works - w3w ( rams.games.headlines ) 2 female still on Plot 1 #marstonsw #slalincs

We understand hashtags are not used as much as they should be but for searching sightings in specific areas on twitter its a much easier way to find what you are looking for. With the new List function you can save a list to the top of your twitter home then click to see all sightings and posts that have been posted to that hashtag.

We will be adding a corresponding hashtag from today of any sighting or post the hashtag fits.

After you have sent a message to any of our hashtags we will add you to the members list for that hashtag.

Thanks Guys
