Mrs. Dianna Martin


Mrs. Martin has been a music educator here at SLC since 2000. Over the years, she taught over a thousand students in elementary and middle school general music, beginning and middle school chorus, and 5-12 band. Prior to coming to SLC, Mrs. Martin taught for Franklin-Essex-Hamilton BOCES as an instrumental band teacher in the St. Regis Falls and the Malone Central School Districts for 5 years.

Mrs. Martin has lived in the North Country her whole life, and attended both Brushton-Moira and Malone Central Schools. She earned Bachelor of Music (1995) and Master of Music (2000) degrees in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, where she was a trumpet and music education major. In 2014, she completed course work and earned teaching certifications in Early Childhood Education (B-2) and Childhood Education (1-6).

Over the years, Mrs. Martin participated in various community music groups, and played in the pit orchestra of several school musicals in the area. Currently, her daughters' school and sports schedules keep her running and busy!

Mrs. Martin resides in Brushton with her husband and daughters.
