Meetings

Our meetings typically take place in Room 101 of the Arts & Letters building on the campus of San Diego State University, which can be found in square F2 on the campus map. The room is directly below 201 on the map. Our November meeting will be held in West Commons 220 (F3 on the campus map).

Typically lectures begin at 7:15 pm and are held on Fridays.

Directions and Parking

By Car: If you take 8E, get off on College Avenue and take immediate right onto Canyon Crest. Follow Canyon Crest until it dead-ends into Aztec Circle Drive. Turn right and park in the 8-story PS12, which has visitor parking. You may park in any of the student lots and PayByPhone (via the app or by calling 1-888-515-7275) for hourly parking. You can also buy a $7 daily permit through the app (see 2 minute video here for how to do that in advance). Typically, we recommend Parking Structure 12 (formerly PS4) if there is not a special event as it is the closest to our lecture space. There are some self-pay kiosks and the most convenient kiosk is located at the top of PS12. You may park in any STUDENT parking space (do not park in Green Faculty/Staff spaces).

In the case of an event, we recommend parking in Parking Structure 1 (off of College Ave - do not turn on Canyon Crest like above, but instead go straight and turn left into the parking garage that will be on the left as you come from 8) or Parking Lots 2 (further up College Ave, also on the left hand side as you drive south from 8).

Unfortunately, SDSU no longer provides free parking for our members.

By Trolley: You may also take the trolley to the SDSU Campus. Head northwest past the Open Air Theater toward Hepner Hall. Make a left down Hilltop Way (toward Scripps Cottage and the koi pond) and turn right onto Scripps Terrace. Arts & Letters is located at the end of the road.
