WE ARE HERE TO SERVE YOU!!

January 2024 newsletter

It’s time for breakfast once again.  Sunday, February 4th is coming soon and your Panther Creek Senior and Community Center will present their monthly community breakfast from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM.  This marvelous morning meal will, as usual, consist of pancakes, eggs any way you want them including omelets, ham slice or sausage patty, hash brown potatoes, biscuits with sausage gravy, toast, fresh hot coffee, tea or chocolate and hot apple cider plus dessert.  The cost for all this is only $8.00 per adult or $4.00 if you are under 12 years of age.  WHAT A DEAL!!  While you’re here be sure to pick up some free Dave’s Killer Bread.

Don’t forget that our universally acclaimed gift shop will be open for your treasure-hunting pleasure.  We have LOTS of great books, CDs and DVDs, glassware, toys, and much more.  Be sure to check it out.  While we are open would be a great time to bring in your donations of re-saleable items.  We cannot accept clothing, personal hygiene items including cosmetics, large furniture or appliances but virtually everything else, including cash, will be gratefully appreciated.  Help is available to carry in your donations or out your purchases.

In March our monthly breakfast will be presented on Sunday, the 3rd.  Mark your calendars now.

February means Valentine's Day and we traditionally celebrate with our Sweetheart Spaghetti dinner.  Our dedicated chefs will make a wonderful meat-based sauce.  There will be garlic bread, salad, dessert and hot coffee, tea or cold drinks available.  Due to several requests there will not be onions in the sauce or dessert.

In March, in addition to our community breakfast, our dedicated chefs will present our favorite dinner of the year;  Corned Beef and Cabbage to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.  It will be served from 4:00 until 6:00 PM or until we run out, on Saturday, March 16th.  Dinner will include potatoes, a side dish, salad, dinner rolls and dessert along with beverages.  As usual, the cost will only be $8.00 for adults or $4.00 for children under 12.  This is our most popular dinner so come early and don't miss out.

April will bring our monthly breakfast plus our annual Spring Bazaar on the 20th and 21st, in conjunction with the annual Great Oregon Coast garage sale, from 9:00 until 3:00.  For vendor information call Irene at 541-961-5242.

We value your input.  If you have any ideas or suggestions or would like to help us out please attend our special community meeting on Saturday, February 23 at 1:00.  Participants will be treated to a free lunch (hamburgers, hot dogs etc.)  We need younger people to volunteer with us in order for your community center to survive.  Our current volunteers, with one exception, are getting old (actually we're already old).  For more information please send me an  email at pcsacc@centurylink.net.

We're all looking forward to seeing you enjoy your breakfast on February 4th.
