Area Announcements

We currently have announcements for Groups represented at our Business Meeting, and Groups in the New York Area.

7th Tradition Giving

This group receives funds called '7th Tradition' giving which is a 'donation' or 'contribution' given only by D.A/B.D.A Fellows. Once your home meeting has met it's needs and expenses, the 'surplus' or remaining funds, can be given to your regional area group (such as this meeting), and to D.A. org directly, as described on page [X insert page#] of the D.A. Manual of Service

The suggested 'New York Group Contribution Policy' is the table below DA NYC dot org.  Guidance for all meeting Treasurers, Co-Treasurers and Assistant Treasurers is within the D.A. Treasurer's Manual. This manual supports all groups expense or disperse their '7th Tradition giving' including GSR Fundraising.

Ways to '7th Tradition' contribute to this meeting;

Any questions or guidance regarding making a contribution via these online methods or how the groups Treasury is operated, you are welcome to contact the Treasurer  seanainrecovery [at] gmail.com

GSRs NY Meeting – Inclusivity Statement

The following Inclusivity Statement was approved by the General Service Board in July, 2022 and has been added to the 2022 Debtors Anonymous Manual of Service:

“Whatever your story, you are welcome in Debtors Anonymous. In D.A., we celebrate the rich, diverse experiences of people of all identities. We embrace members of any race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental ability, socio-economic status, religious, spiritual, or philosophical expression, or any other trait. Our various experiences benefit our recovery, so we encourage all members to value differences and actively participate in making D.A. an inclusive fellowship. Together, we create accessible and welcoming spaces for anyone with the desire to stop incurring debt, so that we may all recover one day at a time.”

Taking the fear out of becoming a Treasurer

We are fundraising to send Group Representatives to the World Service Conference in August.

Invite other members for this opportunity to enhance your recovery, learn skills to become a treasurer so you can bring it to your financial life, and ask questions with other fellows from around the world. Suggested Donation is $12 payable to gsrsnyc [at] gmail.com [via Zelle / PayPal / Venmo @GSRSNYC] and if you can donate more, we’d be delighted, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Questions are welcome to our 'contact us' page
