Why MATAC Awards?

Rather than offering a generic coaching course, we believe that having the course specifically tailored to the individual Martial Arts style of the learner helps with the continuity and philosophy of the style that the student is familiar with, for example, the teaching needs of a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor will not be the same as a Shotokan Karate instructor. Our courses are not awareness, or in-house courses, they are regulated and formal qualifications monitored by Ofqual and from a CPD accredited training provider

Our qualifications offer you, your students and your staff a wide variety of options and levels of competency to help you meet and exceed your training requirements. We are now proud to offer a full range of courses to Martial Arts instructors to help them comply with their insurance or governing body legislation needs. We take great pride in becoming an instructors contracted coaching and compliance training provider and we feel as committed to your development and quality of education as we do about our own, that is our personal assurance to you.

More and more hireable premises are requiring that Martial Arts instructors hold a recognised coaching qualification and these awards not only give you that, but also provide you with a progression route to go on to further and higher qualifications in teaching and achieve the Qualified Teacher, Learning and Skills (QTLS) status as a fully qualified teacher.

Already an Instructor?

You may already be an instructor and are looking to have your years of experience formalised/recognised. MATAC Awards can help you do this by recognising prior knowledge and training, this is known as Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) which is a process that allows you to add training awards from prior learning or experience. With APL, we can assess and formally recognise learning which you have taken in the past. This can be in the form of Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (APCL), or Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL).
