School Sport

As a coach and parent, I will be an advocate for the important place of sport in the student experience. This involves committing to excellence in programming, variety of sports offered, and coach development training for teachers. I am also an advocate for encouraging girls to continue in sport as they move through adolescence.

Physical Activity and Mental Health

While competitive sport may not be the avenue for all students, physical activity should be. There is a clear link between physical activity and mental health, and as such I will advocate for creative ways to engage all students in physical activity throughout their school week, as a part of supporting their overall educational and personal success as whole persons.
