I am a second-year Ph.D. student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, specializing in the economics of education. I employ quasi-experimental and experimental methods to investigate programs and policies that reduce inequality and expand educational opportunity.
My research explores how financial aid, information, and institutional design shape students’ effort and educational expectations. I am particularly interested in out-of-school time use in contexts such as summer schools and college test-preparation programs.
Before my doctoral studies, I served as a Senior Policy Analyst and Education Data Specialist at the Chilean Ministry of Education and consulted for UNESCO and the World Bank. I also completed the Enseña Chile Fellowship (Teach For All partner), where I taught math full-time in low-income schools for two years.
