Harry Potter:   Family Studies

Welcome all to the Harry Potter: Family Studies class!

This class is one hundred percent focused on the families J.K. Rowling created in the Harry Potter series. However, not only will you learn about several family trees in the world of Harry Potter, but I also hope to teach you more interesting facts about each family.  This class will be focused on four pure-blood families in the Harry Potter world. For this term, the four families that will be studied are: the Weasleys, the Blacks, the Peverells, and the Dumbledores. However, there are many more families from the Harry Potter world to be studied; so, if your favourite family was not chosen for this term, make sure you check back next term because there is a very good chance I will be adding another class.

So, let me introduce myself. My name is Harry Walles and I am teaching Harry Potter: Family Studies class. I am very excited for this opportunity! Prof. Opal Curare and Alexander Greb put this class together back in 2012 and Sirius Fudge fulfilled the role of Class Assistant, and later taught the class himself.  Together they worked very hard to create the class and I truly hope you enjoy their efforts. Adaleine Shuster offered this class for one term, and now, with Sirius' and Adaleine's permission, they passed the class on to February Fortescue, who has passed it on to me. . I absolutely love Family Studies! I have kept the lessons exactly as written in 2012 , but have re-written the assignments.

I also have some other quick information that I am sure most of you are wondering about. First, this class will be running for one term, with one due date for everything (15 January or 15 June, depending on the term). That means that 300 points is the maximum amount of points you will be able to receive in this class. Secondly, you must earn 120 points to receive a quill

Please make sure that you read the Syllabus before signing up and sending in work for this class. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to contact me personally via HOL Message.

To be inclusive at HOL is very important, so if you rely on assistive technology or have any other needs that should be taken into account, please let me know, so I can offer you another options for parts of the assignments.
